Look beyond the color name
A printed grain, a composite overlay and natural wood are different products. Ask what forms the door’s face and structure so the proposal describes more than a photograph or a stain-like finish name.
View a sample beside the house
Compare the proposed finish with nearby trim and surfaces in outdoor light. A small screen image may not communicate grain contrast or the direction and repetition of the pattern across a complete door.
Keep performance and appearance together
The chosen style still needs the appropriate configuration for the opening and project. Ask how glazing, hardware and finish are identified in the order, and retain the care instructions for that exact material.
Your questions
Does wood-look always mean a wooden door?
No. The appearance may come from a finish or overlay on another construction. Confirm the product details.
Can I approve the color from a brochure alone?
A brochure helps narrow choices, but a physical sample and the complete product specification make the final decision clearer.
